This old house in Ft Lauderdale went through an extensive overhaul which included new floors, bathrooms, kitchen, and of course, window treatments! The purpose of this “flip” property was to be used for short-term rentals such as AirBNB, as it’s in a great location close to the beach, Birch Park and the Galleria Shopping Mall. It needed a practical and affordable solution, and to look great of course. Our cost-effective products are Honeycomb Shades and Roller Shades, and for this project we went with the latter. To brighten up the rooms and allow more natural light to enter it, the old Horizontal Blinds were removed, and new, modern Blackout Roller Shades were installed in the bedrooms and Solar Roller Shades in the common areas. The open floor-plan allows light to enter the common areas from east and west, reducing the need for artificial light, while still providing privacy and sun control. The Blackout Roller Shades in the bedrooms provide a sleek, modern blackout solution, darkening the room when necessary, and rolls up, allowing full view of the outside, essentially making the room look bigger than before.
